NEG pumps

The A-analysis chamber has a NEG pump, that needs to be reactivated after every venting. We keep the cable in our store room, but you need to borrow the controller from the vacuum group.

The pump is a CT D1000 - ensure that this is what is selected in the controller.

Run the conditioning cycle (250° ) at the end of the bake while still hot, for several hours.

Run the activation cycle (550° ) for one hour just as you start to ramp down the temperature.

Push the ‘Start 1’ button on the right hand side to begin the selected cycle.
